SNPET MANAGING TRUSTEE

Baela Jamil is the Managing Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET) and a leading national and global education policy expert with over four decades of experience in education reform and systems strengthening in Pakistan and internationally. She is also Chief Executive Officer of Idarae-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) and Founder of the Pakistan Learning Festival (PLF). A T4 Asia Education Medalist (2024), she has advised governments and global institutions including UNESCO, FCDO, the Education Commission, UNICEF and the Yidan Prize Foundation. Dr. Jamil serves on several national and international boards including the IBE-UNESCO, the PAL Network and continues to advocate for equitable, high-quality public education and citizen-centerd education systems.

SNPET CHAIRWOMAN

Tasneem Maqbool is a pioneer in social service and philanthropy in Pakistan with extensive experience in community services, education, and healthcare initiatives. She has pursued her education in Pakistan and the United States. She is actively associated with leading nonprofit organizations.

She is the founding Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust from 1994/5 to 2023, serving on Fundraising, Education and Infrastructure Committees. She now serves as Chairperson of the Trust in Pakistan. Ms. Maqbool is an active member of the Behbud Association Pakistan and has been closely involved with Friends of Children Hospital, supporting initiatives for patients’ families. Her work reflects a strong commitment to social development, good governance, and community empowerment.

SNPET FORMER CHAIRMAN & EMERITUS LIFE-TIME TRUSTEE

Ch. Mueen Afazl, H.I. is a former Chairman and Emeritus Life-Time Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET). A distinguished civil servant, he has served as the Finance Secretary of Pakistan and Economic Minister at the Pakistan Embassy, Washington, D.C. He has chaired prominent boards including Union Bank, Murree Brewery, Beaconhouse National University and many industry, educational and philanthropic organizations. Awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz, he brings decades of experience in governance, public policy, and strategic leadership to advance SNPET’s mission.

SNPET CHAIR FUNDRAISING & TRUSTEE

Nusrat Jamil is a Chair-Fundraising Committee & Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET) and Chair of its Fundraising Committee. She is also the CEO of Latitude CRS (Pvt Ltd) and serves on the boards of PEEF, the Lahore Literary Festival, and ASER Pakistan. With advanced degrees in History and Politics from SOAS, London University, she brings extensive experience in education, governance, and development to support SNPET’s mission.

Faisal Bilal Qureshi is a former-Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Finance Committee at SNPET and CEO of Elmetec (Pvt) Ltd, bringing over 20 years of corporate leadership and financial expertise to support the Trust’s mission.

Ehsan Mani is a founding Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET). A Chartered Accountant (UK) by profession, he has held senior leadership roles including President of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He also serves on boards of national and international organizations, including the Galiyat Development Authority and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust. With extensive experience in governance, strategic oversight, and organizational leadership, he supports SNPET’s mission to deliver high-quality, equitable education.

Beena Raza is a Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET) with extensive experience in education leadership, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability. She has worked across the banking, renewable energy, and education sectors, and brings strong expertise in governance, resource development, and quality assurance to support SNPET’s mission of delivering equitable public education.

Feriha Aziz Nazir Peracha is a Trustee of the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET) and CEO of SWAaT, with extensive experience in clinical psychology, education, and youth development. She has led programs for vulnerable children, educational interventions, and psychosocial research, bringing expertise in evidence-based approaches to learning and child well-being.

Dr. Tara Jabeen Rizvi is a rheumatologist in Houston, Texas. She is a passionate supporter of Sanjan Nagar. She has visited the institution and seen first hand the high level of a multifaceted education provided to the most vulnerable groups, minorities and low income families. She believes the holistic approach to academic and extracurricular education as well as personality development and leadership training has transformed the lives of generations to come in these communities.
